Uniform Cut is an outcome of my artistic research around coastal communities in the tsunami devastated towns of Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. The project examines the idea of neoliberal speculation, redevelopment, and the possibility of healing. Two-channel videos and a series of conceptual photographs of building remains invites the audience to reevaluate the built environment in the face of catastrophes.
